The provenance
Made in Scotland, kept in the drawer, never worn.
A & R Murray was a small Edinburgh jeweller, established in 1999 and run by a working goldsmith until the bench was put down in 2012. What survived was a drawer of finished stock — rings, bangles and pendants that were designed and cut in the workshop, hallmarked, boxed, and simply never sold before the shop closed its door.
These are those pieces. Not reproductions, not a relaunch of the business, and not a warehouse of imports — the actual remaining stock, most of it one of a kind, released now so it can finally be worn.
Everything here is sold on behalf of the maker, privately and directly, with the proceeds going to the person who cut and set these stones. There is no showroom mark-up layered on top and no middle-man — which is why the asking prices sit well below what the same pieces once carried on the retail ticket.
Each item is described exactly as it is: metal, hallmark, weight and stone detail taken from the workshop's own stock book. Where a piece carries a notable stone or a signed engraving, we're glad to arrange independent verification before you buy.
